Catawampus*

I don't know their name,
those rocks-
oh they delight me
with rusty orange
faces, or greyer, or greener
arranged catawampus
piled up, up against
time's leveler.
Sticking out
everywhere.
They greet me
uncovered
the snow mostly
repulsed,
unable to coat
their tough angles.
Don't tell me their name.
No limiting them, just
let them go on
sending me their
rough messages.

  2. How nice the phrase "up against time's leveler"! Such difference in your title word, no dilution or erosion, just wild, raw, unlimited.

  3. Yes, when it comes to rocks, let us just feast on the way they look. I feel the same way.
