Seabeck 2015- Haiku Lorna Cahall
incense of the rising woods
carrying our haiku
cathedral
bouncing suspension bridge
out of step marchers
swinging trampoline
high up crow
kaw, kaw, kaw
tiny humans below
massive tree trunks
bright moss on the water side
the inlet glistens
windy morning
weathergrams and maple leaves
send their messages
a quiet place
I can hear my breath
and a distant frog
from the High Desert
to a sopping wet world
bones ache, my hair curls
Northwest Rain Forest
somewhere a bear
right here, a deer
wet rocks, slippery grass
tiny birds cull the brush

You have captured the beauty of the northwest wonderfully, Lorna.
