In Katie's Barn

woman's circle power
drumming the four directions

White Buffalo Woman

drumming our North Country home
will the ancestors really come?

......................................

Yes

footsteps on hard snow
they dance on the shaking air

we are together

the drumming younger, faster
a howling, yipping joy

......................................

Sisters

all warm with caring
drumming the falling snow

beautiful bear shakes

a rattle from the mountains
the Sisters, our sweet home
